As you may know, Victorian pilot RG Carey aquired the plane by defaulting of Guilleaux who had answered the call of France in WW1. The same plane with Carey as pilot made the first Airmail flight in South Australia, Adelaide to nearby town of Gawler, about 30 k's. But before that Gulleax did several days of exghibition flights for paying audiences at Cheltenham Racecourse in 1914. This venue was also the same place where the recently rediscovered crash of Mawson's Antarctic plane in October 1913, said to be the first plane ever made under the Vickers name. The machine gun interruptor system was also in vented nearby at Captain Harry Butelr's partner, Victorian Harry Kauper who also developed radio capcity for the flying doctor and went on to be a major player for the fledgling Sopwith company.
