Aero Engine - Bristol Hercules XVIII, Bristol/DAP Beaufighter, circa 1944
Reg. No: ST 026699
- Summary:
- The Hercules XVIII in the Museum's collection was purchased by the Museum in 1970 without a log book. Its operational use is therefore not known. It was subsequently sectioned for display by Vivian Expositions for the former Science Museum of Victoria. The engine number is marked as 'AC130747'. Other markings suggest it was overhauled by Australian National Airways at some time during its operational life.
