- Wheatstone clockwork bell, used with the Wheatstone Alphabetical Telegraph system. The bell signalled to the operator that a message was coming through.
- Description:
- Clockwork mechanism and bell in wooden case. Wooden moulding around back and sides of base of case. Front of case open but fitted with patterned metal grille and fabric screen. One brass screw terminal on each side of case.
