Sailing Ship Model - Clipper Ship Object Reg. No: ST 024241

Model of a fully rigged clipper ship. Model scale is 1:400. This model was purchased by the Museum in 1957. It is believed to have been made by Joseph Leask who was active during the 1930's drawing plans for models of the Victory and Golden Hind which were published in the Camera Supplement of the Argus newspaper over several weeks in 1932 and 1933 for boys model-building competitions. Mr Leask was described as a "ship constructor" who worked for the Defence Department.
