Horizontal sundial with cannon that is fired at noon by the sun's rays, made in the mid 19th century.
Circular plate on base with three levelling screws, recessed in plate are two levels and compass with N E S W. Opposite the compass is a sundial with semicircular scale. A lens on adjustable arms focuses rays of sun onto the touch-hole of the cannon igniting charge at noon. In case.
