Other Details: This medal was produced in association with radio station 3LO to support their Melbourne Hospital Birthday Appeal. It was designed by Charles Douglas Richardson and featured the epic flight of Bert Hinkler from England to Australia in 1928. Hinkler was killed in Italy in a plane crash five years later, during another flight from England to Australia. - Acquisition Information:
