During a major renovation of our building located in the French quarter we found a dozen plaster or clay versions of this coin and many others. Only the front side of the coin is on the mold. The back is blank. They are white and very brittle. Can you perhaps tell me what they are and why we may have found them under the floor boards (we found newspapers on top of them dating back to Sept 1830 so these have to be at least that old) Thank you in advance for your help.
