Snake Bite Kit - Cutter Hi-Lo, circa 1984 Reg. No: HT 3235
- Cutter Hi-Lo (TM) snake bite kit and packaging, for emerency treatment of snake bite, about 1984. Traditionally, a tourniquet was applied between the bite and the heart to keep the venom away from the circulation. A blade was then used to cut around the bite, and the venom was washed out with the blood, usually aided by suction. Used by Commonwealth Serum Laboratories (CSL) Limited, Parkville, Victoria.
