Dissection Kit - Animal, circa 1950 Object Reg. No: HT 3260

Kit of metal dissecting instruments used for animal autopsy. Used by Commonwealth Serum Laboratories (CSL) Limited, Parkville, Victoria.
Oblong metal box with rounded corners and hinged lid. Two transverse supports for holding tools in place.
Tools include three different sizes of saw for making circular incisions and a detachable handle. Tools consist of a cylindrical metal post, at the end of which is a large cylinder with diagonal saw toothing. At centre of cylinder is a three-sided sharp point.
