I have in my family collection of Jewellery a Florin 1927 Parliament House Broach with a green stone in the centre. Do you have any record of if this piece and why it is different? Was it a commissioned gift to VIP's.
I would appreciate any information about this as I can not locate anything myself.

Museum Victoria Comment
Hi Sharren and thank you for your enquiry. We have contacted the History and Technology curators for more information for you. Creating jewellery from coins was very popular in the 19th and early 20th century. The coin you have may have been made by the original owner, or they may have had it made for themselves. You may find contacting the Numismatics Association of Australia useful in your research, http://naa-online.com/

I have a 1927 parliament house coin in mint condition, just wondering how much it's worth?
