Garmisch is a mountain resort town in Bavaria, southern Germany. In 1935 it was forced to combine with the neighbouring town of Partenkirchen to the east in anticipation of the 1936 Winter Olympic games. Today the joint town is the administrative centre of the district of Garmisch-Partenkirchen, and the two areas within the town still retain quite separate identities. - Description:
- Standard format (3¼ x 3¼ inch square) lantern slide, comprising black & white photograph printed on glass with black paper edging under a protective glass cover plate.

- View of the town of Garmisch in winter from the surrounding mountains. The buildings are covered in snow and a church can be seen in the middle of the village.
