- Painted drawing depicting men in battle. Most wear blue uniforms, with helmets adorned with points; many carry bayonets or other pointed weapons. A main figure points to the left, looking back at the soldiers behind him. One man in pale uniform is lying in the foreground. Smoke rises behind. Poplars in the distance, and a hillside, indicate a country setting.
