Have found one of the medals while coin detecting in central west NSW, do you know how many of them were produced and if they have any value to them. Thanks Ron

Museum Victoria Comment
Hi Ron. These medals were awarded to all the schoolchildren in Australia in 1951. According to Leslie J Carlisle, 'Australian Historical Medals: 1788 - 1988' p294, there were 1,153,000 medals produced. As indicated below, Museum Australia doesn't provide valuations. Please see our Question of the Week information on obtaining valuations of coins. http://museumvictoria.com.au/discoverycentre/discovery-centre-news/coin-valuations/
