The machine was developed and designed by Vickers Ruwolt for Carlton and United. A second machine was manufactured for Carlton and United 2 years later
and both were installed in the Carlton Brewery (MM012620). A third Filler was also supplied to the CUB Brewery in Cairns, Queensland.
In 1972 Vickers Ruwolt manufactured and supplied a similar machine to Stella Artois in Belgium. This required some re-design as European beer casks have their filler cap on the side of the cask unlike Australian which have their filler caps at the end of the cask. - Acquisition Information:
