Glass Negative - Edythe Ellison Harvie Standing in Garden, Melbourne, circa 1910 - 1914 Image Reg. No: MM 043217

Summary:
Glass plate negative portrait of Edythe Ellison Harvie standing in a garden, probably between the ages of 8 and 12 years.

It is thought that this photograph was taken by her father, studio photographer, Robert Harvie. Harvie regularly used his daughters as subjects for his photographs, a large number of which are taken in gardens, presumably at the family's various residential addresses. For the dates during which it is thought this photograph was taken, the family lived at three different addresses: 4 The Terrace, Malvern, from 1908 to 1911; 4 Inverness Ave, Malvern, from 1911 to 1913; and 27 Chanak Street, East Malvern, from 1913 onwards, however it is unclear at which address this photograph was taken.
