Part of a large photographic collection of glass plate and film negatives, photographic prints and photo albums, relating to the development of the electric power supply industry in Victoria, operated by the State Electricity Commission of Victoria (SECV) from 1919 to 1993 and various predecessor private and municipal power supply enterprises dating back to the late 1880s.
Description Of Content:
Careers in the State Electricity Commission (SEC): control room, Yallourn Power Station. Apparently not 'E' station control room, see Harvey pp 302, 303. Possibly an electricity transmission control room, or for 'D' station.

looks like the cro's (electrical control room for C+D stations, Yallourne. In these range type stations the electrical controller looked after the load, machine excitation and all switching for the station. Separate operators looked after the turbines and aux plant.
