Date given is wrong. The Mirboo North Butter Factory depicted in this image (the third butter factory built in the town) was constructed in 1926.

Thank you for providing a specific date for the construction of this dairy and that it was the third constructed for the town. The date refers to the date of when the photograph was taken; when we don’t have specific dates we use "circa" to provide a general date range either side of the date indicated - this date could fall anywhere between 1920 and 1930.

We will amend the collection record to incorporate this new piece of information, however until we can confirm a date of when the photograph was taken we will still need to keep it generalised to "After 1926". We would, of course, welcome any further assistance in providing a more accurate date, or date range. It would also be helpful if there was further information about the history of this dairy – why was this the 3rd one constructed?
