My great-grandparents, John and Margaret Senior (nee Manton) were Master and Matron of the Upper Goulburn District Hospital at Wood's Point from 1865 to 1905. My grandfather, Dr John Higgins, was appointed medical offcer to the hospital 1 August 1896. He married the Seniors' daughter, Margaret at Wood's Point. Dr Higgins and his family left Wood's Point in 1908 for Queensland bcause of his wife's poor health
