Hi,
My sister has researched our family history and through research understands that my grandfather's family was involved in the construction of this bridge. We have a photo of these relatives having a smoko while at a bush camp, probably at this time.
Have you any information regarding the contractors used to construct this bridge.

Museum Victoria Comment
Hi Simon, the Victorian Heritage Database entry on the bridge indicates Victorian Railways constructed it but doesn't give information about individual contractors. You may be able to find out further information by contacting Public Record Office of Victoria. Just for interests sake, the bridge still exists today, although it's not in use, and is a short distance from Nowa Nowa in East Gippsland.
