- Roscoe Turner, pilot of the 'Warner Bros. Comet', Boeing 247D, that participated in the MacRobertson Centennial Air Race, seated on top of one of the aircraft's engines, apparently adjusting the lashing of the propeller. The aircraft is on a ship, ready to be returned to the USA.
