Negative - Rochester, Victoria, circa 1920
Reg. No: MM 001703
- Description Of Content:
- Two men with a portable water tank, consisting of a riveted sqaure iron shipping tank mounted on the recycled wheels and chassis of a former harvester - possibly a former McKay 'Sunshine' havester.
It is possible that the tank was intended as fire fighting appliance, although there is no sign of any hoses in the photo. It could equally well have been used for domestic or stock watering or other general farm use. - Acquisition Information:
- Copied from Anne Horwood, 1985
