'Fleet morning' is a reference to 1 September 1908 when a contingent of 100 American sailors and officers from Teddy Roosevelt's 'Great White Fleet' visited Mirboo North as part of their visit to Australia. It caused an enormous amount of interest in Mirboo North, and as such is a unique event in the town's history.
