It features on the obverse the Air Force Association emblem.The Royal Air Force Associationwas founded in 1920 as the Australian Flying Corps. Most of its members were World War I pilots. Today the Association supports Australian defence (particularly air defence) and Australian aviation, and cares for serving and ex-servicemen and women through repatriation and military compensation. It has branches in every state.
