- Image of a group of men and women in front of the Victorian Railways No.1 Steam Bus outside the Plenty Bridge Hotel, Victoria, circa 1905. This image was collected as part of the Biggest Family Album in Australia project undertaken by Museum Victoria between 1985 and 1991. This project resulted in the collection of copies of over 9,000 photographs from rural and regional Victoria dating from the 1890s to the 1940s.

- Description Of Content:
- Victorian Railways No.1 Chelmsford steam bus parked in front of the Plenty Bridge Hotel, with a group of three men and three women and driver on an excursion posing in front of the bus. The body for this vehicle was built by the Newport Railway Workshops. Six of these vehicles were ordered but they served for only a short period after proving unreliable in service. They were used primarily as feeder services to railway stations on the Prahran-St Kilda-Brighton route.
