Description Of Content:
A loco crew and another man posed on O class 0-6-0 type steam locomotive No.23, built by Slaughter, Gruning & Co, Bristol. This locomotive suffered a boiler explosion on 28 August 1873 at Telegraph Hill near Geelong.

This is locomotive No.29 built by Slaughter, Gruning & Co., This photo would have been taken after Jan. 1882 after being reboilered, as well as a new funnel and brakes fitted to the engine. It was taken off the register on 12-8-1905 and scrapped. No.23's boiler exploded on the 20-8-1873 near Kildare Road Bridge 1 mile north of Geelong. It was later rebuilt being withdrawn from service on the 25-3-1905
