- Description Of Content:
- An elevated view of the damaged locomotive and goods trucks which derailed whilst crossing a bridge at Kurkuruc Creek, 4 October 1907. The photo is taken from the bridge itself, and shows several groups of men inspecting the derailed train. Both the engine driver, Joseph Duke, and the fireman, Edwin Cherry, were killed in the accident. The 4-6-0 steam goods locomotive No.614 was hauling the train at the time of the derailment.
