Description Of Content:
The Z-class 0-6-0 tank type goods steam locomotive No.526 after it had been converted to the locomotive steam crane No.3. This locomotive was built in 1893, and was the first locomotive built at the Newport workshops of Victorian Railways. It was
converted to its pictured form in 1904, and remained in service until 1978.

Known as "Polly" when working as a steam crane - finished its working career at Dynon Locomotive, Footscray Road after North Melbourne Locomotive was demolished.

Restored to original condition and on view at Scienceworks.
