- Photograph of VHF radio telephone console (later version) at Melbourne Coastal Radio Station, Cape Schanck, Victoria. The wooden frame of the console was built by Tom Picken, using hidden dovetail joints. Tom was one of the groundsmen at the Station. The other two were Bill Murdoch and Rob Birch
This image is one of a series collected from the Melbourne Radio Station at Cape Schanck in June 2002, just prior to the closure of the Station on 30 June 2002. The photographs cover various events in the history of the Station and were taken by various photographers. - Description:
