Systematics: Cumacea Family Bodotriidae
Biology:
The carapace of the many species of Cyclaspis is especially swollen, calcified and
ornamented with spines, horns, grooves and stipples. This one has a saddle-shaped groove
across it. The species which grows to 10 mm long ranges in shallow water from New South
Wales to South Australia.
