Australomysis acuta

Systematics: Mysidacea Family Mysidae


Distinguishing Characters:
All the swimming legs are similar to each other. The end of the telson is divided into two lobes with spines along the margins. There is a sharp triangular rostrum between the eyestalks. The species grows to 8 mm long.

General Biology:
The species occurs in marine waters of the coast off southeastern Australia.
