Systematics: Ostracoda Family Cypridinidae


General Biology:

This species belongs to a family which includes common scavengers and can be caught in traps baited with dead fish. This is a common undescribed species in Port Phillip Bay notable for the triangular tail at the end of the carapace. Adults are 3.5 mm long.
