Cycloleberis cf. bradyi

Systematics: Ostracoda Family Cylindroleberididae

General Biology:
Members of this family have a sandwich of layers of thin gills across their back. This individual from Port Phillip Bay may belong to the species named after Mr Brady but taxonomists are not sure. At 4-5 mm long this is one of the largest shallow water ostracods in southern Australia.
