A series of public programs at Melbourne Museum will highlight the contribution of this incredible scientific thinker and his connection to Museum Victoria research and collections. A Grand Evolutionary Dinner will be held on 12 February marking the anniversary of Darwin’s birth.
Another unique event celebrating this anniversary is the international conference Evolution – the Experience at the Melbourne Convention Centre February 2009 which will explore the breadth and depth of Darwin’s ongoing impact in basic biology, agriculture, medicine, psychology, sociology, politics, history and religion.
