Gorillaz
Virtual band makes a monkey of pop world
Murdoc, 2D, Russel and Noodle are the members of pop band Gorillaz. They are the animated characters created by cult cartoonist Jamie Hewlett. Blur front man, Damon Albarn, has provided the musical focus and together the two friends have created an award-winning pop phenomenon.

Eden project
The Eden Project
The Eden Project, a £57m showcase for global bio-diversity, is the largest plant enclosure in the world built in the most ecological way possible. The project consists of three main structural elements brought together in a 15-hectare landscaped site, formerly a worked out Cornish clay pit.

Mathmos bubble light
Great balls of light.
The Mathmos Bubble light is a ball of silicone that can be charged up like a mobile phone and squeezed to switch it on and off. It comes in three different colours - blue, green and red - and can be hung up by a cord or taken outdoors. The light is powered by LEDs.
