Kinder Discovery Program Presentations

Year Kinder, Presented by museum staff

Museum Victoria’s Discovery Program is a mobile service that provides access to the museum’s collections for 4 year old kindergarten groups who may find it difficult to visit one of our venues.

These sessions are led by a presenter skilled in early learning and include specimens, objects, replicas and photographs. All of the items presented can be handled. Each session is forty five minutes in duration.

There are 3 topics to choose from:

  • Feather Fur and Flippers
Feel the quills of an echidna, the teeth of a Tasmanian Devil and the soft plumage of a barn owl as we encounter some of Australia's unique animals.
  • Dinosaurs and Fossils
With the aid of fossils, dinosaur bones, replicas, and photographs, we go back in time to reflect on the existence of these ancient animals.
  • Shells
There is an amazing array of shells to be found in Australia, from sea shells to land snails. Wonder at their exquisite shapes and patterns and discuss the animals which make them.

Cost:
$110 per session with a maximum of 25 participants.
