Italian Carlton program

Students can begin the experience with a self guided walk in the Carlton precinct, using accompanying language activities. They may explore the historical Carlton via the online resource Italian Carlton, at school or during the Italian Carlton program at Co.As.It.

During the Italian Carlton program, exploration of the online resource takes place in the computer lab at Co.As.It Carlton. Students learn new vocabulary through ICT games and complete ICT tasks whilst investigating the themes of Food, Entertainment, History, Fashion and Community Celebrations using an interactive map to tour the Carlton precinct past and present. Key stories of Italians that contributed to the area are also presented as part of the experience.

Italian Carlton is supported by Co.As.It (Victoria), Museum Victoria and the Ian Potter Foundation for students of Italian & History.
