estuarine health projectMV Home

Introduction

Museum Victoria and the Australian Museum have participated in a program aimed at developing methods to assess the health of southeastern Australian estuaries. This project is funded by the Water Services Association of Australia as part of the National River Health Program, Urban Water Subprogram.

The benefits of both museums participating in this survey is that the project will contribute to a common set of reference specimens in the two museums. This will result in consistent identifications and enable ecological and pollution monitoring work in New South Wales and Victoria to be linked.
