Installing the screensaver

The Museum Victoria screensavers are designed to be as simple as possible to install. Just follow these instructions to download and set up your screensaver!

Downloading and Installing Screensavers for Mac

Downloading

1. Click 'Download Apple Macintosh Federation images screensaver' to begin downloading the Mac
   version of the file.
2. Open your System Folder and drop the screen saver file into your computer's Control Panels folder.
3. Restart your computer and you're ready to go.
   

Adjusting the settings
You can further adjust the preferences by opening the screensaver Control Panel. You can turn the screen saver on/off, select the time before the screen saver becomes active, and which corner will be the Sleep Now corner.

Downloading and Installing Screensavers for Windows

Downloading

1. Click the highlighted 'Download Windows 95/98/NT Federation images screensaver' to begin downloading the Windows version.
2. When the 'File Download' requester appears, choose 'Save this program to disk'. If you wish, choose a location for the file.
3. Wait for the 'Download Complete' box.

Installing

1. Go to the location of the downloaded file. It will usually be called 'MVFedpc.exe'
2. Double 'click' the file to commence the installation. (The zip file will ask you for another location to unzip to, then double 'click' this file as well.)
3. After a moment, a pop-up box should confirm the success of the installation for the standard file.

Adjusting the settings

1. Press the Start button and choose 'Control Panel'.
2. Double-click on the 'Display' icon.
3. Select 'Screensaver' tab. You can adjust the settings for your screensaver on this panel. Press OK when you are happy with the settings.
