Inside a Chief's House

Beams and rafters were secured by heavy duty braided magimagi, incorporated into the ornate patterns made with coloured and lighter duty magimagi. The sacred white cowrie buli leka is integrated into the decorations of this bure kalou belonging to the Tui Waya of Yalobi Village, located on the island of Waya in the Yasawa Group.
