Spirit house model made of sinnet. Small ivory figures were sometimes housed in the models as assistance to priests in the practice of divination. The full-size temples were primarily for the use of priests in carrying out their duties to the community, which included the application of coconut oil from special trays and the ceremonial ingestion of yaqona in the barau way.
