Band of bark cloth stencil-decorated in earth colours. The brown, black and white designs on this masi are typical of those in Taveuni Island, Cakaudrove Province. Attention is drawn particularly to the triangular shaped pattern which is called a vane swastika, kamiki, which is of Lauan influence probably ultimately deriving from Tonga.
