CULTURAL DIVERSITY WEEK QUEST EXHIBITION See the winning entries from the 2009 Cultural Diversity Week Quest. The Quest Awards encourage Victorian students to celebrate their state’s cultural diversity through creative expression. Students' works reflect their investigation of cultural diversity within their school and community, and encompass a wide range of materials, techniques and ideas. STAR WARS: WHERE SCIENCE MEETS IMAGINATION Could cars that hover above the ground become the mass transit of the future? Will we ever have droids like C-3PO in real life? Fantasy and reality join forces in Star Wars: Where Science Meets Imagination. This is the first exhibition to showcase more than 80 costumes, models and props from all six Star Wars films. ROBOT ROUNDUP Celebrate the arrival of Star Wars: Where Science Meets Imagination with a holiday program themed all about mechanical helpers. Learn about how robots work in a free live show, get hands-on with real LEGO robots in Robozone and build your own model robot to take home. TRANSFORMERS – REVENGE OF THE FALLEN The IMAX version of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen will feature select sequences shot with IMAX cameras as well as a longer cut and more robot fighting. The battle for Earth has ended but the battle for the universe has just begun. After returning to Cybertron, Starscream assumes command of the Decepticons, and has decided to return to Earth with force. The Autobots, believing that peace was possible, find out that Megatron's dead body has been stolen from the US Military by Skorpinox and revive him using his own spark. Now Megatron is back seeking revenge and with Starscream and more Decepticon reinforcements on the way, the Autobots with reinforcements of their own, may have more to deal with than meets the eye. HARRY POTTER AND THE HALF-BLOOD PRINCE: THE IMAX 3D EXPERIENCE
See the much-anticipated sixth instalment of the Harry Potter series, with selected scenes in IMAX 3D, on the world’s third largest screen at IMAX Melbourne Museum. Voldemort is tightening his grip on both the Muggle and wizarding worlds and Hogwarts is no longer the safe haven it once was. Harry suspects that dangers may even lie within the castle, but Dumbledore is more intent upon preparing him for the final battle that he knows is fast approaching.
