Rhipidura rufifrons

The Rufous Fantail migrates into Victoria's forests in spring to breed.

It mostly lives in the undergrowth of forest gullies, and around swamps.

Related to the well-known Willie Wagtail, the Rufous Fantail hawks for insects, using its large tail to perform acrobatic manoeuvres in pursuit of its prey.
