Adult Learning Activities and Education Kits

A three-part Education kit has been developed for use by Adult Education groups. They can be downloaded as PDF files or purchased in print form (see below). The Activities in Part 2 are suitable for use with the web site or the Gallery.

Educators and others who are not familiar with Melbourne Museum and its programs can read About the Forest Gallery. Those who are familiar with the museum but not the education kits can read Using the kit. Otherwise, begin choosing activities.

Forest Gallery Kit - Part 1

This section provides background on the Forest Gallery at Melbourne Museum as well as materials on types of forests; plants and animals; the impact of water, fire, geological processes, climate and humans; rainfall; bushfires and peoples' views of forests including the importance of the forests to the original Aboriginal inhabitants of the area, the Kulin people.
