Ferns don't have flowers but these delicate creamy blossoms resting on the fern frond are the only way bushwalkers will readily encounter flowers of the Mountain Ash (Eucalyptus regnans).

The trees only flower after 15-20 years and although the tree grows to over eighty metres in height, the flowers and seeds are tiny. Each seed is no larger than the comma on a typed page.
