Branched Coral Fungus
Clavicornona colensoi

An ornate and delicate 'coral fungus'.

The individual fungi are small, around 4cm across and grow on dead logs.

The related Clavicorona piperata is much larger and darker in colour.

Unbranched Coral Fungus
Clavulinopsis amoena

A simple (unbranched) 'coral fungus' species. It is named for its colour.

It frequently forms large broken 'rings' in the forest as mycelium below ground level grows out radially.

Large Coral Fungus
Ramaria fumigata

A large distinctive 'coral fungus' with distinctive purplish-grey coloration.

Common in Eucalypt forests.
