Viola hederacea

Prostrate, spreading low ground-cover forming a dense mat. A prolific grower once established.

This violet has small ivy-shaped leaves and striking mauve and white flowers mainly in spring and summer.

This is an extremely variable plant in leaf size and shape and can flower from June to March.
