I was born in Bairnsdale Victoria, on the 16th December 1963, and I am a member of the Ganai Tribe from East Gippsland, Victoria. I am the youngest of four children; I have two older brothers and one older sister. I grew up in Morwell, which was all right, and I went to school at Morwell Tech. I started playing guitar at the age of eight, and wrote my first song when I was 15. I have performed my music all around the world and have met the Queen.

Before coming to work at Lakes Entrance Secondary College, I worked at Nowa Nowa Primary school, and Tambo Upper Primary school as a teachers aide. I am now the Koori Educator at Lakes Secondary College, which makes it better for the Koori children, there was nobody like that around when I went to school. Koori culture is now becoming more wide spread throughout schools in Victoria, and Kooris are being recognised more in relation to their culture. I would like to see all Koori students go on to University.

I have nine children and the two people I admire most are my partner, Tracy for the work she is involved with, and my Dad, because he has always been there for me.
