The National Museum's ethnographic and anthropological collections are
displayed in the eastern end of the building, which had become the main
entrance to the Museum. The gallery, originally opened in 1906, is re-named
Spencer Gallery at this time.

These displays of Aboriginal artefacts, including tools and weapons,
remained in Spencer Gallery for many years.
