1970

The Institute of Applied Science celebrates its centenary and changes its name to Science Museum of Victoria. New exhibitions are developed to commemorate the centenary and to fill the space vacated by the National Gallery of Victoria, which had moved to new premises in 1968.

Transport Exhibition

A 1970s transport exhibition. The Museum owns one of the first cars invented in Australia.
